Dental Assistant - Sean M Hamilton, DDS, PLLC - Mebane, NC

We are looking for a dental assistant (DAI or DAII) who is interested in long term employment and will make the dentist’s office more efficient and pleasant for patients. We are a family oriented solo dentist's dental practice that strives to provide high quality dental care to our patients in a comfortable environment. Dental assistant should be well-organized with great attention to detail. The qualified applicant should be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures run as smooth as possible. Our office sees patients Monday through Thursday 8am to 5 pm. Position offers paid vacation and holidays, retirement plan, uniform allowance, paid continuing education.
Responsibilities

Welcome patients in the dental office
Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed
Sterilize instruments according to regulations
Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
Undertake lab tasks as instructed
Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
Keep the dental operatory clean and well-stocked
Schedule appointments
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures

Skills

Excellent communication and people skills
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods

Understanding of health & safety regulations
Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks
Good computer skills (knowledge of Eaglesoft a plus)
Attention to detail
Well-organized and reliable
DAI or DAII certification
X-ray certified

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
