Summary
We are seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to join our dedicated team at Dr. Peter D. Purcell’s practice in West Seneca, NY. In this role, you will support our orthodontic services by assisting with patient care and ensuring a smooth workflow in our clinic.
Responsibilities

Assist the orthodontist during patient examinations and procedures.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment for use.
Take X-rays and assist with diagnostic imaging as needed.
Educate patients and their families on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment scheduling.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the practice.

Requirements

Previous experience as a dental assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is highly desirable.
Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures, including X-ray techniques.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
