Dental Assistant - Apex Endodontics PLLC - Tonawanda, NY

We are hiring for a Full Time Dental Assistant!
Availability must be Monday-Friday. Our full time dental assistants work 4 full day shifts and one day with a shorter shift. Our shifts have a flexible arrival at 8:15-8:45am to close which can vary from 5:00-5:45pm. (Availability must be between these hours).
The schedule will be set and steady each week.
Job Description:
You must enjoy working in a fast paced environment and love taking care of people.
We can train you on the specifics of being an endodontic dental assistant; you need to bring eagerness to learn. Our team has specific training manuals for each procedure, set up and process we do at the office.
Dental assistant responsibilities and duties:
- assisting and provide support to the doctor and the team
- Communicating regularly with FD team and other DAs to keep schedule moving and working as a team.
- maintain surgically clean environment
- Caring for patients, helping them feel comfortable and at ease
- update patient dental records and treatment plans in computer system
- stocking supplies and taking inventory
- taking x-rays and 3D scans
- cleaning rooms and sterilize equipment and instruments
- typing notes as needed for doctor
- All dental assistants also help at the front with minimal tasks including check-in, check out and some outgoing calls.
Dental assistant qualifications and skills:
- You must be a positive and happy person and get along well working in a team
- Willingness to learn with Dr. and team, as well as undergo self guided training. We have a very thorough training manual that is updated regularly.
- Exceptional patient care skills, empathy and communication
- Strong knowledge of computers and willingness to learn new technology
We work in a fast-paced office. There is high patient volume with challenging cases.
Apex uses all digital sensors, digital 3D / CBCT machine, paperless charts, hand held x-ray machines, intraoral cameras and lots of technology.
