OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office. Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Prepare and maintain the treatment room, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
Perform medical imaging tasks such as X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate medical records and patient information using software systems like Epic and Eaglesoft.
Implement aseptic techniques and infection control measures to ensure patient safety and compliance with health regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental setting.
Knowledge of general dentistry procedures and terminology.
Familiarity with medical records management and software applications (experience with Epic or Eaglesoft is a plus).
Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Ability to perform medical imaging procedures safely and effectively.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Certification in Dental Assisting is preferred but not mandatory.
