Job OverviewThe Sterilization Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and hygienic environment within a healthcare or dental setting. This position involves the cleaning, sterilizing, and preparing of instruments and equipment for use in medical procedures. The Sterilization Technician ensures compliance with infection control protocols and contributes to the overall efficiency of the practice.
**Applicants need to be reliable and hard-working and have dependable transportation. Must be committed to working full-days on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We can provide on-the-job training, but only to a person committed to the job. Job is on your feet most of the day.

Duties

Clean and sterilize dental and medical instruments using appropriate methods and equipment.
Prepare instruments for procedures by ensuring they are properly organized and ready for use.
Monitor sterilization processes to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles and equipment maintenance.
Assist in the management of inventory for sterilization supplies and materials.
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure a seamless workflow during procedures.
Adhere to infection control protocols to prevent cross-contamination.
Conduct routine inspections of sterilization equipment to ensure proper functioning.
