Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. This role involves assisting with various dental procedures, managing patient records, and maintaining a welcoming environment for patients of all ages.
Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, including pediatric dentistry.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Take and develop X-rays as required, adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records using dental terminology and medical imaging software such as Epic.
Monitor and record vital signs of patients before procedures.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the clinic.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the dental office.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation, and dental terminology is essential.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
Proficiency in handling medical records and understanding of vital signs monitoring.
Experience with medical imaging technologies is advantageous.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Certification or training in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory.
