We have been providing dental care to the Grand Rapids area for over 35 years.
Job Description:As a Dental Assistant at Dr. D.J. Edgerle DDS, you will play a key role in supporting our dentist and ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience. Your responsibilities will include preparing treatment rooms, assisting during procedures, and providing excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits, ensuring all instruments and materials are ready.
Assist Dr. Edgerle during procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and providing other support as needed.
Take and develop dental X-rays.
Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
Provide post-operative instructions to patients as directed by the dentist.
Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques.
Perform basic administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience as a dental assistant (or willingness to train for entry-level candidates).
Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix) is a plus.
CPR certification is preferred.
