Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following infection control protocols.
Take X-rays as directed by the dentist and ensure proper handling of radiographic equipment.
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar dental software.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling, patient intake, and follow-up communications.
Support the dental team with administrative tasks as needed, including inventory management of dental supplies.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Proficiency in dental terminology, infection control practices, and general dentistry procedures.
Familiarity with Dentrix or Epic software is highly desirable.
Knowledge of prosthodontics is a plus.
Ability to take X-rays safely and effectively.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred.
