Job Summary
Looking for an awesome and FRIENDLY hygienist!!!!We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring their comfort and safety. You will play a crucial role in educating patients about oral hygiene, performing assessments, and assisting the dentist in various procedures. A strong knowledge of anatomy and infection control practices is essential for this position.
Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing to maintain optimal oral health.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress in electronic health records (Eaglesoft or Dentrix).
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care, including pediatric dentistry when necessary.
Review medical coding for insurance purposes as needed.

Requirements

Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice.
Strong knowledge of anatomy related to dental health.
Experience with documentation review and electronic health record systems (Eaglesoft or Dentrix preferred).
Familiarity with infection control standards and general dentistry practices.
Ability to perform patient assessments effectively.
Knowledge of medical coding is a plus but not required.
Experience in pediatrics is desirable but not mandatory.
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
