Dental Hygienist - Buffalo Dental Group - Williamsville, NY

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice that emphasizes on comprehensive dental care. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and oral health, performing a wide range of hygiene services to help maintain and improve patients' dental health. As a Dental Hygienist, you will work alongside a team of dental professionals to deliver high-quality care while ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and update patient records accurately, documenting all procedures, treatment needs and obtaining necessary dental radiographs utilizing Dentrix Ascend.
Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories, taking blood pressure readings, and noting any changes in oral health.
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including periodontal assessments and comprehensive dental charting.
Apply preventive treatments, such as fluoride and sealants, to protect teeth from decay.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and diet recommendations.
Support in the sterilization of dental instruments following all infection control protocols.
Ensure the safety and comfort of patients, offering reassurance and addressing concerns during procedures.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care and satisfaction.

ExperienceCandidates should have:

A degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
Proficiency in dental terminology.
Experience working in a dental office setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
A commitment to continuing education and staying current with industry best practices.
