OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. This position requires a strong background in dental terminology, medical imaging, and experience with dental software such as Dentrix. Duties- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.- Conduct medical imaging procedures as required, ensuring accuracy and quality of images.- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical coding and documentation of treatments performed.- Implement infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff.- Stay updated on the latest dental practices, technologies, and regulations to provide the best patient care.
Qualifications- Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.- Experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred.- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical coding practices.- Familiarity with Open Dental or similar dental practice management software is a plus.- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.- Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
