As a Dental Hygienist, you will work closely with our dental team to promote oral health and educate patients on proper dental hygiene practices.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Conduct patient assessments to identify oral health issues and recommend appropriate treatments.
Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic health record system.
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to provide comprehensive patient care.
Stay updated with advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Skills
Proficiency in general dentistry practices and procedures.
Familiarity with medical coding for accurate documentation.
Experience using Dentrix or similar dental software for patient management.
Strong skills in assisting during dental procedures as needed.
Ability to conduct thorough documentation reviews for compliance and accuracy.
Excellent patient care skills with a focus on comfort and education.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment.
Competence in patient assessment to identify potential oral health issues.
Understanding of infection control measures to protect both patients and staff.
Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dental practices.
