OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Office Assistant to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office and providing exceptional service to our patients. The ideal candidate will have experience in a dental office environment and possess strong organizational and communication skills. You will be responsible for various administrative tasks that support the dental team and enhance patient experiences.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes at the front desk.
Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar efficiently.
Handle patient inquiries and provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience.
Perform insurance verification, including Medicare, to confirm coverage for dental procedures.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical coding using ICD-10 standards.
Assist with billing processes and manage office management tasks as needed.
Support the dental team by preparing treatment rooms and ensuring necessary supplies are stocked.
Collaborate with other staff members to streamline office operations and improve patient flow.
Experience
Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role within a dental office is preferred.
Familiarity with medical coding, particularly ICD-10, is highly desirable.
Strong skills in patient service, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all interactions.
Knowledge of insurance verification processes, especially related to Medicare, is beneficial.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in office management practices and front desk operations.
