Job SummaryModern dental office in Glendale is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our dental family. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring optimal oral health for our patients. You will work closely with the dental team to deliver exceptional hygiene services, educate patients on oral health practices, and maintain a safe and sterile environment.
Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments to identify oral health issues.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Document patient medical histories and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist in the development of individualized patient care plans based on assessments.
Utilize dental terminology effectively while communicating with patients and team members.
Adhere to infection control protocols to ensure patient safety and compliance with regulations.
Collaborate with dentists during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Operate dental systems, including Dentrix, for scheduling and record management.
Support administrative tasks such as medical coding and managing patient records.

Qualifications

Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice.
Experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology and infection control practices.
Familiarity with medical coding and HIPAA compliance is a plus.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
