Job SummaryModern, busy, non-corporate, out of network dental group with a wonderful team welcomes talented general dentists or specialists to contact us regarding the various opportunities to join our growing office located in the SE corner of San Antonio, Brooks City Base area.
We have flexible schedules that could include moonlighting for a specialty resident or military dentist, as well as a full time position for an easy going career minded general dentist looking for a long term position in a friendly, organized setting.
Our office is unique in that our patient base requires extensive dental care and enjoys the private practice experience we provide. Since we are not in network of any, PPO HMO or Medicaid, the compensation per procedure is much higher than most high volume offices. As a private office, we value our patients’s experience and the quality of our services. We are planning to reopen 7 days per week, so the schedules offered can be negotiated and flexible. Pay is based on commission paid biweekly.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating dental issues, providing preventive care, and educating patients on oral health. The Dentist will work collaboratively with a team of dental professionals to ensure high-quality patient care in a comfortable and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive dental examinations to assess patients' oral health.
Diagnose and treat dental conditions, including cavities, gum disease, and other oral health issues.
Perform various dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canals, and oral surgeries.
Utilize dental terminology effectively in communication with patients and staff.
Maintain accurate dental records and documentation for all patient interactions.
Fabricate dental appliances and prosthetics as needed.
Utilize medical imaging techniques to evaluate patients' dental conditions.
Adhere to aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care measures.
Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to provide seamless patient care.

Qualifications

Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
Valid state dental license to practice dentistry.
Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is preferred.
Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and dental procedures.
Familiarity with medical documentation practices and standards.
Experience in oral surgery is a plus but not mandatory.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly to patients.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
