Job Description
Responsibilities:- Assist the dentist during dental procedures- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment- Take and develop dental X-rays- Perform patient assessments and record medical history- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care- Maintain a clean and organized dental operatory
Experience:- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant preferred- Experience working with pediatric patients- Familiarity with Dentrix Ascend or other dental practice management software- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and equipment- Understanding of aseptic technique and infection control protocols- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology- Familiarity with medical coding for dental procedures
