Registered Dental Hygienist - Alacrity Dental Services - Sterling, VA

Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, ensuring optimal oral health, and supporting the overall mission of our dental clinic. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, patient assessment techniques, and aseptic practices to deliver exceptional service in a friendly and professional environment.
Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and scaling procedures while adhering to aseptic techniques.
Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting medical history.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a comfortable experience for younger patients.
Maintain accurate patient records using Eaglesoft software and ensure all documentation is up-to-date.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care and support treatment plans.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment within the dental office.

Description
We have a state-of-the-art dental practice as part of Army and Air Force Exchange Services specifically servicing Military Families and Military Veterans. Our practice has a family feel and we focus on building relationships with our patients. Making sure to provide each of our patients with the best quality care.
Responsibilities:

Participate in daily morning team huddle and weekly Hygiene Huddle.
Clean calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth and beneath margins of gums.
Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontists.
Apply fluorides and other cavity preventing agents to arrest dental decay.
Chart conditions of decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment by dentist.
Present Treatment Plan to patients and provide health education to improve and maintain oral health
Dental x-rays & Dental Impressions.
Record treatment information in patient records.
Strong organizational skills.
Able to build rapport with patients.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication.

Requirements

Current Registered State Dental Hygienist License
At least 1-2 years of Dental Hygienist experience
X-Ray Certified
CPR/BLS
Valid Driver License; Reliable Transportation
Must have or be willing to obtain a Real ID prior to starting.
Dentrix knowledge preferred (training will be provided)
Extensive HIPAA knowledge

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $63.35 per hour
