Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as proficiency in various dental systems.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using medical imaging technology.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical coding and documentation of treatments performed.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize office operations, including experience with Eaglesoft or similar systems.
Assist with prosthodontics procedures as needed, ensuring high-quality patient care.
Utilize 3D scanners for impressions and other diagnostic purposes.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; familiarity with general dentistry practices is essential.
Knowledge of dental terminology, medical coding, and experience as a dental receptionist are advantageous.
Proficiency in operating dental equipment and systems, including Dentrix, is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are crucial for maintaining patient records and managing appointments.
Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is preferred but not mandatory.
