Registered Dental Hygienist - Complete Dental Care - Salem, VA

Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our locally owned, family dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
We are a growing dental practice with a current need for a hygienist two days per week. We are flexible on which two days per week you would like to work, with a preference for some combination of T/W/Th. If desired we could increase the position to three days a week as our patient base continues to grow. We provide PTO accrual even at part time status.
Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patient oral health.
Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays to identify dental issues.
Maintain accurate medical records for each patient, documenting treatments and observations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options.
Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Monitor vital signs as needed during patient visits.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional care.

Qualifications

Valid dental hygiene license in accordance with state regulations.
Proficiency in using dental software such as Eaglesoft is preferred.
Ability to assist in various tasks within the dental office setting, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
