Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being during procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, patient assessment, and infection control protocols. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to promote optimal oral health and educate patients on proper hygiene practices.
Duties

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and vital sign checks.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing as needed.
Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments.
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or Eaglesoft systems.
Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Adhere to infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Collaborate with dentists and other team members to provide comprehensive care.

Experience

A degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program is required.
Current state licensure to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Familiarity with dental terminology and medical coding is preferred.
Experience with patient assessment techniques and vital signs monitoring is beneficial.
Knowledge of infection control practices within a dental setting is essential.
Previous experience in dental assisting may be advantageous but is not mandatory.
