Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and ensuring that all procedures comply with industry standards and regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and patient management. The Dental Hygienist will play a crucial role in educating patients about oral health and hygiene practices.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients.
Review documentation and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist in the development of individualized patient care plans based on assessments.
Perform medical imaging as required, ensuring proper techniques are used.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits.
Collaborate with dentists and other team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
Maintain infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft for patient management and record keeping.
Provide support in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a comfortable experience for younger patients.
Requirements
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
Experience in a dental clinic setting preferred; familiarity with dental assisting is a plus.
Proficient in infection control practices and medical imaging techniques.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Prior experience working with pediatric patients is advantageous but not mandatory.
