Dental Assistant/Receptionist - Smile At Ashburn Dental - Ashburn, VA

Smile at Ashburn dental is a new practice. We are looking for a dental assistant who can be cross-trained to work front. It is a start-up practice, so we are looking for a dental assistant whom we can train without experience. We are a young happy practice that values teamwork. The dental assistant will have to perform the essential duties. You will greet patients, prepare exam rooms, and help the dentist during patient examinations and other dental procedures. When not working with patients, you will assist with administrative tasks, including answering phones and organizing patient records. Our staff genuinely loves helping patients, so we are searching for individuals with the same passion and commitment to superior patient service.
What we expect from our dental assistant

Gather patient information and create a medical profile for each patient.
Prepare the work area for different procedures promptly.
Take x-rays of patient's teeth when necessary and display results for the dentist
Assist the dentist during examinations and dental procedures
Educate patients on good oral hygiene habits
Restock treatment areas and monitor inventory
Intraoral scanners and 3-D scanning experience are desired but can be trained

Dental Assistant Requirements and Qualifications

Dental assistant certificate from an accredited vocational school (preferred but not mandatory)
With 1+ years of dental assisting experience, we can train assistants who need more experience.
X-ray certification.
BLS and CPR certification, we can help if it is not up to date.
Excellent understanding of dental hygiene procedures
Knowledge of aseptic and sterilization techniques
Attention to detail

Job Types: Part-time with the chance to increase hours to full-time.
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
