Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to work effectively with both children and adults.
Duties
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry.
Assess and document patient oral health status, including reviewing medical history and vital signs.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the development of individualized patient care plans based on their specific needs.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress in compliance with dental regulations.
Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Requirements
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and general dentistry practices.
Experience or knowledge in pediatric dentistry is preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology and vital signs is a plus.
Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with team members.
Ability to perform documentation review accurately and efficiently.
