Registered Dental Hygienist/Dental Hygienist - Midwest Family Dental Care-Kokomo - Kokomo, IN

We are currently looking to add a full time dental hygienist to our team!
Days: Monday-Thursday
Time: 8am-5pm with a one hour lunch
Pay: $55-$60 based on experience
As a Dental Hygienist you would be responsible for:

patient screening procedures; such as assessment of oral health conditions, review of the health history, oral cancer screening, head and neck inspection, dental charting and taking blood pressure and pulse
taking necessary radiographs
removing calculus and plaque (hard and soft deposits) from all surfaces of the teeth
applying preventive materials to the teeth (e.g., sealants and fluorides)
teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health; (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling)
counseling patients about good nutrition and its impact on oral health
making impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth used by dentists to evaluate patient treatment needs performing documentation and office management activities
maintenance of the hygiene schedule and patient follow-up
documenting proper notes for any procedures completed
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
Outstanding communication skills
A patient and friendly personality
Attention to detail
Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job
Valid state license to practice
