Job SummaryWe are a well-established dental practice in Fort Collins. We are looking for a fun-loving, hard-working, and dedicated hygienist to join our awesome team!
We currently need someone Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, as well as Friday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.
We have a very energetic staff and are seeking someone who will mesh well with our fabulous hygiene team!
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety while performing various hygiene procedures.
The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dentist and other staff members to promote oral health and educate patients on proper dental care practices.

Duties

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed for diagnostic purposes.
Assess patients' oral health and document findings in their medical records.
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the management of infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care, including discussing treatment plans and patient concerns.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments, including medical coding and review of documentation as required.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices, including knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and pediatric care.

Skills

Proficiency in medical imaging systems and techniques related to dentistry.
Strong understanding of dental terminology and infection control measures.
Knowledge of anatomy relevant to oral health and hygiene practices.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry principles is a plus.
Ability to perform documentation review to ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health needs.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills in managing patient records and treatment plans.
