Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dental Assistant Team Lead to join our dynamic dental practice. This leadership role is essential in ensuring the delivery of high-quality dental care while supporting our clinical team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental assisting, and the ability to foster a positive team environment.
Responsibilities
Lead the clinical assisting team to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of patient care.
Assist dentist chairside during procedures.
Patient education and post op instructions.
Breakdown rooms, sterilize equipment, and daily chore list.
Oversee the management of dental records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Utilize Dentrix software for patient management, scheduling, and treatment planning.
Apply knowledge of dental terminology to assist in patient education and treatment documentation.
Dental imaging as needed, including X-rays, Panos and CT scans.
Maintain inventory of clinical supplies and equipment, ordering as necessary to ensure availability.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a dental clinic setting, preferably with a focus on general dentistry.
2+ years chairside dental assisting.
Strong knowledge of terminology related to dental procedures.
Familiarity with general dentistry practices is a plus.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing dental records and documentation.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
Proficient in using dental software systems such as Dentrix and DTX.
Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols within a clinical environment.
