Permanent Dental Assistant Job in San Diego, CA
Great entry level opportunity for someone looking to get into dental and healthcare.
Part time position available as a dental assistant for 28 hrs/week This is a flexible position great for those with extracurricular obligations.
Hours of operation: Monday 8 a.m. -5 p.m., Tuesday 8 a.m.- 5 p.m., Thursday 8 a.m. -5 p.m., Friday 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.
No experience required, but must be willing to learn and receive feedback. X-ray License, 2hr Dental practice act class, 8hr Infection control class, and CPR certifications are required by law. These certifications can easily be obtained inexpensively from a few weekend courses available throughout San Diego.
This is a cross-trained position. Duties and training will include:
- Schedule management and preparation of doctor's rooms and materials
- Answering phones and scheduling appointments
- Collecting payment and verifying insurance
- Restocking equipment and office maintenance
- Janitorial duties
- Sterilizing dental instruments
- Infection control and cleaning operatories
- preliminary impressions, and alginate impressions
- Additional duties as needed.
Paid training will be provided on Wednesdays and/or Friday afternoons for the first few weeks of hire as needed.
