Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental assisting techniques, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques: including but not limited to pediatric dentistry, orthodontics and oral surgery.
Prepare and maintain instruments and equipment in accordance with aseptic techniques.
Take and develop dental radiographs: including but not limited to: bitewings, periapicals, panoramic and cephalometrics radiographs.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
Support front office duties as needed, including answering phones and greeting patients.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Experience

Previous experience in dental assisting is mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Pediatric and oral surgery experience is preferred.
Familiarity with dental systems and software is advantageous: Open Dental.
Knowledge of anatomy related to dental health is beneficial.
Experience in managing responsibilities typical of a dental receptionist is a plus.
A strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols is essential.
