Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled, patient-focused, and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our team. As an essential part of our practice, you will play a key role in preventative care, patient education, and helping patients overcome dental anxiety. Key Responsibilities

Comprehensive Patient Care: Perform thorough prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, and periodontal maintenance treatments.
Patient Education: Help patients understand their oral health and empower them with preventative care strategies.
Periodontal Health Management: Assess and document periodontal conditions, including pocket depths, gum recession, and signs of disease.
Collaboration with Dentists: Work closely with the doctor to co-diagnose and create customized treatment plans.
X-rays & Diagnostics: Take and review digital radiographs to assist in treatment planning.
Sterilization & Safety: Follow strict infection control and sterilization protocols to ensure a safe environment.
Comfort & Compassion: Provide a gentle, reassuring experience for patients with dental anxiety.

Qualifications & Skills

Active Virginia Dental Hygiene License (required).
Proficiency in Open Dental or other dental practice management software (preferred).
Excellent patient communication skills with an empathetic and friendly demeanor.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
Experience with periodontal therapy and co-diagnosis (preferred).
A self-starter who thrives in a team-oriented environment.
