Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, place restorations and help provide quality patient care.
Duties:
- Place high quality restorations
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Take digital x-rays
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care
- Maintain accurate patient records
Requirements:
- Experience placing high quality restorations
- Knowledge of infection control protocols
- Familiarity with general dentistry procedures
- Understanding of dental terminology
- Proficiency in aseptic techniques
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques
-Licensed as an Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) in Washington State
- Proficiency in PracticeWorks software is a plus
-Familiarity with perio, endo, ortho, surgery and implants is a plus
