Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant interested in making the transition to front duties to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental professionals in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and proficiency with dental systems such as Eaglesoft. Experience in implant surgery and extractions also a plus.
Duties

Answer and return phone calls, schedule patients as needed, collect patient copays, collect and file forms and charts as needed. Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing the necessary instruments and materials.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) and CT scans while adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, ensuring compliance with infection control standards.
Schedule appointments and manage patient records efficiently as a dental receptionist when needed.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth operations within the clinic.
Support various specialties including general dentistry, implant dentistry, orthodontics and periodontics.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting.
Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is essential.
Proficiency in using Eaglesoft a plus but not required.
Knowledge of infection control protocols to maintain patient safety.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Certification in Dental Assisting.
