Job descriptionDental Health Associates of Madison (DHA), a doctor-owned practice serving the Madison community for over 50 years, is looking for a Billing Specialist with dental experience. This is an opportunity to join a supportive team in a patient-focused environment where your skills and knowledge of dental billing and insurance processes will be valued.
Position OverviewThe billing specialist is responsible for managing patient accounts, processing insurance claims, and providing accurate billing support. This role requires previous experience in the dental field, whether in billing, insurance coordination, front desk operations, or another aspect of dental administration.
Responsibilities
Assist patients with billing and account inquiries while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
Verify and update insurance information to ensure accurate claims processing.
Process insurance claims and pre-authorizations with attention to detail.
Enter payments, make necessary account adjustments, and maintain accurate records.
Work closely with patients, insurance providers, and the dental team to address billing questions and ensure clear communication.
Qualifications
Previous dental experience in billing, insurance coordination, front desk operations, or a related role is required.
High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree is preferred.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
