Job Description
We are a General Dentistry practice located in the Stone Oak Area. Our Drs are highly skilled at many phases of dentistry including esthetic gum surgery (crown lengthening) and Full mouth rehabilitations. Our practice is constantly growing, runs efficiently, and holds patient care as our utmost priority. We are looking for a dental assistant to join our team that is well-organized, pays great attention to detail and has experience of at least 2-3years in dental assisting. As a member of our team you will earn the opportunity to expand your knowledge in dentistry with some of the best in the profession and have fun along the way! Responsibilities
Welcome patients in the dental office
Prepare patients for treatment ensuring their comfort chairside
Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
Sterilize instruments according to regulations
Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
Undertake lab tasks as instructed (prepare lab cases, pour and mount models)
Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
Keep the operatories, sterilization and lab clean and well-stocked
Assist and communicate well with fellow team members to insure efficiency with patient flow.
Schedule appointments
Maintain accurate patient records
Present and discuss treatment plans
Skills
Proven experience as dental assistant, and or strong desire to learn
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods and or strong desire to learn
Good computer skills
Excellent communication and people skills
Attention to detail
Well-organized and reliable
High school diploma
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
