Position Overview: We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our practice on a full-time basis. As a Dental Assistant at Great Lakes Dental, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of the practice. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a busy group practice where you can contribute your expertise while continuing to learn and grow in a supportive environment. There will be opportunities to earn bonuses on a weekly basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the dental team during various procedures, ensuring efficient and high-quality patient care
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring accuracy and patient safety
Maintain accurate patient records and charting, both physical and electronic
Provide chair side assistance to the dentist during procedures, anticipating their needs and facilitating smooth workflows
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
Help manage and organize dental supplies and inventory
Uphold strict adherence to safety protocols and infection control measures
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a positive patient experience and optimal treatment outcomes
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant
X-Ray Certification is required
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
Proficiency in preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing instruments
Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining accurate patient records
Knowledge of infection control protocols and safety procedures
Positive attitude, adaptability, and a willingness to learn and grow
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
