About the Role:
As a Dental Assistant at Osseo Family Dental (OFD), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. You will be responsible for assisting our dentists in providing high-quality dental care to our patients. Your primary goal will be to ensure that our patients feel comfortable and at ease during their dental procedures. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and sterile environment in the dental office.
Preferred Qualifications: **Not required** Unlicensed assistants are welcome to apply!
Certificate or diploma in Dental Assisting from an accredited program.
Current certification in Radiology and Dental Terminology.
Knowledge of sterilization and infection control procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a dental office.
Familiarity with dental software and electronic health records.
Experience with iTero / Intraoral digital scanning.
Responsibilities:
Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing the patient, sterilizing instruments, and handing the dentist instruments as needed.
Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist.
Maintain a clean and sterile dental office environment, including cleaning and sterilizing dental instruments and equipment.
Assist with front desk duties, including scheduling appointments, answering phones, and greeting patients.
Provide compassionate care to patients, ensuring that they feel comfortable and at ease during their dental procedures.
Skills:
As a Dental Assistant at OFD, you will use your skills in Radiology, Dental Assisting, Dental Terminology, Sterilization, Infection Control, and Compassion on a daily basis. You will work closely with our dentists to provide high-quality dental care to our patients. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be essential in ensuring that our patients feel comfortable and at ease during their dental procedures. Your ability to work well in a team environment will be crucial in maintaining a smooth and efficient dental practice.
