Dental Assistant (Part-time) - New You Dental Center - Southfield, MI

New You Dental Center is looking to add part-time Dental Assistants to work on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. If you are looking for a great team of people to work with, please apply. The purpose of the Dental Assistant is to assist our Dentists with patients chairside, order supplies, and maintain equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate with the Office Manager and Purchasing Manager to place clinical supply orders and monitor usage of dental inventory.
Work with the office manager to update the master maintenance list periodically.
With the supervision of the manager, help train new dental assistants on office protocol, dentists preferences, usage of handpieces, instruments and other small and large equipment used by assistants on a daily basis.
Verify all the lab cases are accurate and go out on time to the lab to ensure turnaround time is adequate for the patients next scheduled appointment.
Follow up with the front desk on any special requirements for the patients care.
Maintain all update documentation on clinic information in the dental practice management platform.
Coordinate with HR to keep current on infection control procedures, OSHA and MIOSHA guidelines and dental materials.
In addition to these job functions the Dental Assistant will also perform regular dental office duties and tasks as assigned by office manager and upper level administrators.
Requirements

Experience –1 year of experience in dental assisting preferred but not required. Will provide additional training for the right hardworking and dependable dental assistant who is new to the field.
