We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented, and experienced Lead Dental Assistant to take on a leadership role within our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our dental assistant team while ensuring our patients receive exceptional care. You will work closely with our dentists and other team members to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow, providing direct assistance during procedures, and ensuring a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the dental assistant team, providing guidance, training, and support.
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including fillings, crowns, extractions, and more.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and ensure infection control procedures are followed.
Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after dental procedures.
Manage dental equipment and inventory, ensuring everything is in working order and properly stocked.
Assist in the development and implementation of office protocols and patient care procedures.
Help manage patient scheduling and treatment plans in collaboration with the front office team.
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with digital x-rays as needed.
Ensure all administrative duties related to patient care are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Keep up-to-date with new dental procedures, products, and technologies.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; dental assisting certification required.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a dental assistant.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Knowledge of dental software and equipment.
Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor toward patients.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
