Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise and interpersonal skills to support both patients and dental professionals effectively.
It must be Spanish and English fluent.
The office will start opening every Friday and Santurday for the first month and will be opening the rest of the days as the patient pool starts increasing.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including but not limited to endodontics and pediatric dentistry.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis.
Maintain patient records using Dentrix or Eaglesoft software, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurate.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Operate 3D scanners for advanced imaging when required.
Manage appointment scheduling and assist with administrative tasks as a dental receptionist when necessary.
Demonstrate knowledge of dental anatomy to provide informed assistance during procedures.
Experience
Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with familiarity in using Dentrix or Eaglesoft software considered an asset.
Proficiency in taking X-rays and understanding infection control standards is essential.
Experience with 3D scanning technology is a plus.
Knowledge of endodontics, pediatric dentistry, and general dental practices will enhance your application.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment are crucial for success in this role.
