Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Tyler, TX
Our vibrant, multi-doctor private periodontics practice is seeking a part-time (1-2 days per week) Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team! Ideal candidates are motivated, talented, invested in their patients' oral health, eager to perform excellent hygiene treatment, and dedicated to a team-based office mentality where exceptional patient care is the highest priority. Unique opportunity to learn about periodontal surgical therapy, dental implants, and manage complex periodontal patients. Our hygienists are vital players and considered co-therapists in providing high quality care.
Hygienist duties include:
Scaling and root planing
Periodontal maintenance therapy
Oral hygiene instructions
Radiographs (FMX, PAs, VBX, Pano, CBCT)
Sterilization and cleaning
Charting and documentation
Working directly with the doctors and staff to provide the highest quality of care
Applicants must have the following key attributes:
Basic knowledge of periodontology with ability to understand and willingness to learn about periodontal surgical procedures
Good communication skills amongst colleagues and patients
Excellent patient rapport, bedside manner, and communication skills
Ability to efficiently multi-task
Write clear, concise, accurate clinical notes
Honest and trustworthy
Team mentality
Tech savvy and ability to embrace new technologies
Minimum Requirements:
Active Texas RDH License
CPR / BLS certification (up to date)
Clean background check
Previous private practice experience preferred
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
