Job Description
Registered Dental HygienistOur growing, well established private family dental practice with great staff and patients is searching for a dental Hygienist to join our SmileON team. We are looking for someone who is professional, with a positive attitude and great communication skills. We offer excellent benefits and competitive pay. We only work Monday through Thursday, so we can have three day weekend.
Responsibilities
Sterilize dental instruments
Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
Clean and help protect patientsâ teeth (e.g. remove plaque and calculus or apply fluoride)
Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures
Take X-rays
Skills
Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar role
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
Outstanding communication skills
A patient and friendly personality
Attention to detail
Valid license to practice
Our usual hours of operation are 8am-5pm Monday to Thursday .
