Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) - Cascade Dental Group LLC - Salem, OR

Cascade Dental Group LLC is looking for a temporary Dental Hygienist to cover for a RDH out of the office temporarily in Salem, OR. We are team orientated. looking for someone that is interested in possibly growing with us and someone that likes to have fun. If we are a good fit a long term position is a possibility.
We are patient focused with 1 hr appointments. Time to focus on your patient and their oral health. We are a family and understand work/life balance, we offer very flexible hours and days.

Hours:
Tues/Wed: 11 am-7 pm
Thurs/Fri: 9 am- 5 pm
Position Summary:The primary purpose of the Dental Hygienist is to clean, examine and or test patients teeth. This includes checking for signs of decay, plaque, bacteria and other possible contaminants. The Dental Hygienist will assist patients in having an excellent oral health care and should be personable and compassionate.
Requirements:High School Diploma or GED

Current BLS certification preferred (BLS training through American Heart Association or American Red Cross will be considered)
Must be willing to undergo a background check
Current CPR/First Aid certification (AEC Dental Hygienist course will be provided)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work at various times of the week
Must be able to stand for 8+ hours per day
Ability to multi-task and follow procedures accurately
Must have great communication skills and be able to read and speak English. Spanish is a plus!

Duties include:Sorting and preparing patients teeth for examination and treatment.

Obtaining oral health history and cultural information.
Conducting cultural sensitivity training for all staff.
Cleaning and maintaining treatment rooms and instruments.
Answering phones in a professional manner. Calling out patients for follow-up appointments, taking office notes in patient charts, scheduling appointments, etc. (providing patient education on proper care of instruments)

Pay: From $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week

8 hour shift
No weekends
