Compensation DOE
Responsibilities

Assist in the evaluation of patients' oral health and provide accurate documentation
Ability to perform various cleaning types (e.g. prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, full mouth debridement, SRP etc.) and periodontal assessments
Assist patient understanding in our doctor's diagnosis and the patient's proposed treatment options
Apply preventive materials, such as sealants and fluoride treatments
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and health maintenance
Take dental X-rays, and digital impressions ensuring safety protocols are followed
Maintain infection control protocols and sterilize dental instruments
Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records
Monitor supply levels & contribute to restocking hygiene rooms
Stay updated on the latest dental practices and technologies through continuing education

Skills

Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar role
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
Outstanding communication skills and attention to detail
A patient and friendly personality
Valid license to practice in Oregon; nitrous oxide license is a plus
Proficiency in commonly used dental software, knowledge of OpenDental is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour
