Hiring for a part-time or full-time Dental Hygienist at a fast growing family owned practice in beautiful downtown St Charles!
We are currently looking for a Part or Full-Time candidate to help with the demand.
Our office provides 1 hour cleaning appointments for adult patients, a flexible schedule within our office hours of 8am-5pm, and a positive work environment .

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Dental Hygienist duties revolve around conducting initial patient screenings, providing hygiene treatment and advising patients on oral health and preventative care
SPECIFIC DUTIES

Patient Management
Review daily schedule with the administrative assistant and dentists for hygiene patients
Seat patients in a timely manner based on the office schedule and be aware of schedule changes
Review patient health and dental history forms and update as necessary
Accurately chart each patient’s periodontal health
Perform thorough and gentle prophylaxis for patients
Perform scaling, root planing and selective polishing for patients as appropriate
Administer local anesthetics (preferred)
Take radiographs, intraoral, and panoramic x-rays of patients as prescribed by dentist
Apply cavity-preventive agents, such as fluoride
Communicate with patients in an understandable and professional way
Check on patient comfort during treatment
Accurately and appropriately record provided treatment
Teach and counsel patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
Educate patients on the products in office
Schedule hygiene patients with efficiency after completing the visit
Perform other tasks assigned by the dentist, office manager, or lead hygienist
Cleaning, sterilization, and stocking of room as per office protocol

Requirements and skills

1 year experience is preferred but not necessary
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession
Outstanding communication skills
A friendly personality
Attention to detail
Diploma in Dental Hygiene
Valid State of Illinois hygienist license to practice
Compensation based on experience
Dentrix/Dexis a plus but not required
