As a Dental Hygienist, you will work closely with patients to ensure their dental hygiene needs are met while adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
**Responsibilities:**
- Perform dental cleanings and assist dentists during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
- Conduct patient assessments and charting
- Take dental x-rays
- Maintain patient records accurately
- Sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care
- Stay updated on advancements in dentistry and hygiene practices
**Requirements:**
- Degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited institution
- Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance
- Experience working in a dental office setting
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar dental software. We use Open Dental
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry and patient assessment
- Ability to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
