Position Overview: As a part-time certified dental assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our dental team in providing outstanding care to our patients. You will be expected to assist with clinical and clerical duties, ensuring the smooth operation of the office. This role requires a strong work ethic, a commitment to patient care, and an ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist the dentist during procedures and exams.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
Take digital X-rays.
Ensure patient comfort and explain procedures when necessary.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
Strictly follow OSHA and infection control protocols.
Be proactive in utilizing downtime to support the practice (e.g., restocking supplies, organizing work areas).
Be cross-trained to assist with clerical tasks, including patient scheduling and phone support.
Lead by example and contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment.

Qualifications:

Certification: Must be a certified dental assistant (CDA) with current credentials.
Skills: Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
Team Player: Must be reliable, friendly, and work well with others.
Attention to Detail: Strong focus on infection control and OSHA standards.
Bilingual (Preferred): Spanish-speaking is a plus, but not required.
Flexible Schedule: Ability to work with a flexible schedule.
