Our general dental office, located in Chatsworth, is a well established part of the local community known for providing quality and compassionate dental care. The office seeks to maintain high standards of care in a calm and serene environment. Our staff turnover is low. We are a sole proprietor office whose dentist is a graduate from the UCLA School of Dentistry and has lived in Chatsworth for most of his life. The office accepts PPO and fee for service payments. We pre-screen appointed patient's current state of health in an effort to prevent the spread of illnesses to our multigenerational patient base and staff. Covid protocols continue to be observed. Hygiene patients are adults.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist with at least 5 years of experience to join our dental family. Tuesdays only.

Duties

Welcome each patient
Update dental and health history
Conduct thorough dental cleaning and examination to assess patients' oral health
Take and develop film x-rays. Will retrain
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Encourage scheduling of next recall appointment
Assist in the management of patient records
Maintain paper charting - office does not use computer charting
After each patient Implement aseptic techniques to maintain a safe and clean clinical environment.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety regulations within the dental clinic.
Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to provide comprehensive patient care.
Sterilize instruments

Requirements

Valid California Registered Dental Hygienist license
Current CPR certificate
Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and general dentistry principles.
Knowledge of infection control procedures within a dental setting
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively educate patients.
Compassionate approach towards all patients.
Live within a 10 mile radius of office
