Dental Assistant - Wesmark Family Dentistry - Sumter, SC

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dental clinic. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental professionals and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This position requires proficiency in various dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care.
Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, including taking X-rays and preparing materials.
Utilize 3D scanners for imaging and assist in creating dental prosthetics.
Maintain infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Manage patient records using Eaglesoft and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Provide chairside assistance in various specialties, including General Dentistry, Prosthodontics, and Pediatric Dentistry.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Perform administrative duties as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow within the clinic.

Experience

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; new graduates are welcome to apply.
Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is essential.
Experience with dental receptionist systems is an advantage.
Knowledge of infection control practices within a dental setting is required.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while providing exceptional patient care.
