Duties
- Assist dentists and hygienists with patient care and procedures, including preparing patients for treatment and monitoring vital signs.- Maintain a clean and organized dental clinic, adhering to strict infection control measures and aseptic techniques.- Support pediatric patients and their families, providing a calming and reassuring atmosphere.- Participate in four-handed dentistry, ensuring seamless communication and efficient treatment.- Assist with general dentistry procedures, including preparing instruments, sterilizing equipment, and maintaining patient records.- Perform various administrative tasks, such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and making calls.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a general dental practice including dental surgery and implants.- Knowledge of dental systems and the ability to quickly learn new procedures.- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients of all ages.- Familiarity with infection control procedures and aseptic techniques.- Experience in pediatric dentistry, including caring for patients with special needs.- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and maintain a calm demeanor in stressful situations.
Skills
- Proficiency in taking vital signs and understanding of dental clinic systems.- Experience in general dentistry procedures.- Strong assisting skills and ability to work efficiently in a team environment.- Knowledge of infection control measures and aseptic techniques.- Familiarity with four-handed dentistry and the ability to adapt to new procedures.- Understanding of pediatric patients' needs and a gentle, caring approach.- Experience in maintaining patient records and performing administrative tasks.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
