Job Description

WORK DAYS: Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (8:45AM-5PM) Pediatric dental Office
Responsibilities

Welcome patients and parents in the dental office
Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
Sterilize instruments according to regulations
Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
Schedule appointments on Open Dental software
Maintain accurate patient records using Open Dental software

Skills

CPR certified
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Understanding of health & safety regulations/ OSHA
Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing and sealants are a MUST
Good computer skills
Excellent communication and people skills
Attention to detail
Well-organized and reliable
Graduated from a dental assistant school
Additional certification or training is an asset but not required (e.g. EFDA)

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 22 – 28 per week
