Job Description

Duties:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth, taking x-rays, and applying fluoride treatments- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide recommendations for improving dental health- Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a sterile and organized work environment- Use dental software system Eaglesoft to take x rays, update patient records and treatment plans- Conduct oral cancer screenings and identify any abnormalities or signs of disease- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and provide exceptional patient care
Requirements:
- Valid state dental hygiene license- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program- Excellent communication skills and ability to educate patients on oral health practices- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records- Knowledge of infection control protocols and ability to maintain a sterile work environment- Ability to work well in a team setting and collaborate with other dental professionals
